VaraLogix Q

VaraLogix Q automates deployment of .NET and Java applications providing application management, process management and configuration management in one solution. Q discovers, manages and corrects middleware configurations and the configurations of databases, operating systems, and environments within the deployment process.

Q deploys to any environment and works with JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic, IIS, Tomcat, Apache, GlassFish, ClearCase, Perforce, Subversion, Oracle, MySql, MS SQL and more. Q provides deployment for Microsoft .NET, TFS integration, supports Hyper-V virtual resources, SharePoint and BizTalk. Q locates and adds missing external resources to the application being deployed and registers them in the GAC. The result is correct .NET deployment, reduced downtime and cost.

Q dynamically archives all application components — Java /.NET–based applications, scripts, database schema updates, configuration files, images, static information, etc. — into a release repository. During deployment, Q determines the correct release process to run depending on the type of application content and performs actions to deploy to the correct target resources.

Q includes a centralized console where you drag and drop application content and view real-time status of deployments, instances, and repositories. With role-based security, alerts and signoffs – you get visibility and control over the entire deployment process. Q is cloud-ready – it automatically invokes a hypervisor to set up VMs, performs clean up and supports clustering. Last Updated: 02/27/12
